Teacher Bridge - image maps

First, go to the teacher bridge page. click on link: Teacher bridge

Then, login first (bottom of website). After login, click on full editor on bottom right.

  • Click on folder named users.
  • Locate your folder and double click on that.

 

  • File
  • add to (and your username)


  • objects
  • blank drawing
  • create (on bottom)

 

 

 

  • You will see the drawing file on bottom of folder area.

 

 

 

  • When you click on the untitled drawing, you will come to a screen that looks something like this.

 

 


  • Click on the picture that looks like a flower to create an image map.
  • Then, click on the grey background for placement of picture.

 

 

  • Find the url of the picture descired.
  • To find the URL, see next screen capture.

 

 

 

To find the URL:

Right click on the desired image, then click on properties and the address will pop up. You can copy this URL to the other screen. View next screen capture.

 

I inserted the URL from the skeleton (see above address) into the screen by copying and pasting.

 

 

 

Click on ok.

You can move skeleton to desired spot by dragging with the mouse.

To make an image map, which will work when you click on the object, then choose one of the shapes on top and trace area that you want students to click on.

 

You can choose color by clicking on the second to last icon on right.

 

 

 

Click on URL button to link area to another site.

 

 

 

To link this area to another page, click on the desired area, then click on this object to direct this area to another site.

(To create another folder - see below)

 

 

click on file and user name.

 

 

click on:

  • objects
  • blank web page
  • create

 

 

  • You may rename page or folders by highlighting page or folder
  • open file
  • rename "current users"

 

 

 

  • To view the image map that you just created (after following the above steps),
  • click on the website link on bottom of page.
